Flappy Bird creator pulled game because it became to addictive

Flappy Bird creator Dong Nguyen has responded to the press for the first time since he pulled his runaway app from Apple’s marketplace. He has explained that he pulled the game after he saw how addictive it was becoming to players.

In an interview with Forbes, Nguyen explained his decision to pull Flappy Bird. “Flappy Bird was designed to play in a few minutes when you are relaxed,” he began. “But it happened to become an addictive product. I think it has become a problem. To solve that problem, it’s best to take down Flappy Bird. It’s gone forever.”

“My life has not been as comfortable as I was before,” he added. “I couldn’t sleep. I don’t think it’s a mistake. I have thought it through.”
