Halo: Master Chief Collection's patch beta might not happen after all
343 is re-evaluating the need to beta test Halo: The Master Chief Collection's upcoming title update, the developer has said.
The studio's comments follow a last-minute delay for the beta last week.
"As this update contains the biggest changes to the Matchmaking system yet, we've identified that additional time and testing is required, and we are currently evaluating both timing and need for a CU beta with the Xbox One Preview program, as well as the final public release date in February," 343 said in an update posted over the weekend.
"We'll continue to provide the latest updates here on [halowaypoint.com]."
The beta had initially been scheduled to take place last week but was postponed to an unspecified date. At the time, 343 said that the beta would be available "in the near future".
