New Xbox One system update preps console for backwards compatibility

A new Xbox One system update is rolling out today to prepare the console for its upcoming Windows 10 game streaming and Xbox 360 backwards compatibility, Major Nelson has confirmed.

"There are no new user-facing features in this release as the team focuses on the New Xbox One Experience that will be available later this year," explained the Major.

Windows 10 launches on July 29 with backwards compatibility expected in a few months.
